Vecellio & Grogan has four construction projects well
underway at Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, NC.
FedEx is building a cargo hub at the airport, with V&G
handling all site development work, including the relocation of a portion of
Old Oak Ridge Road. Initial site grading is approaching 50 percent
completion as of publication.
V&G is also realigning a portion of Bryan Boulevard to
go around the site, with work on that project more than a third complete.
At the airport itself, V&G is developing 80 acres of
land for a future 9,000-ft. runway. In addition to excavation and grading,
the work includes relocating a sewer line and building two major box
culverts. About a fourth of the project has been completed to date.
VG Asphalt,
Vecellio & Grogan’s recently established asphalt division, is also working
at the airport, performing a ramp reconstruction project.
In other work, V&G is in the last half of new
construction on eight miles of I-540, just northeast of Raleigh, NC.
