Vecellio & Grogan crews are making excellent progress preparing the site for a new Virginia City Hybrid Energy Center in St. Paul, Virginia. The contract called for excavation and grading to be done concurrently with facility design work, so change orders were frequent and expected, numbering more than two dozen in all.

Despite the challenges, V&G has completed much of the original contract and laid the foundation for the general contractor to begin facility construction. Final touches on the site work are expected to be completed this summer.

In a related contract, V&G is also building two small bridges to span nearby creeks for access to the facility.
