Vecellio & Grogan project in Huntington, WV.
When selecting a company to perform site development work, its natural for owners, developers and general contractors to look carefully at the price. Thats just good business.
But a truly good value involves more than just a low price, as one of Vecellio & Grogans current projects illustrates.
V&G is performing excavation and stormwater work for the parking areas and outparcels of a new Walmart in Huntington, WV. Thats not unusual, as V&G specializes in all types of site work. What makes this job stand out is that the Walmart is already built and open for business.
Apparently, some of the fill material used by the original site contractor (not V&G) was improperly sized for the application and sections of the underground drainage pipes were damaged as a result.
Vecellio & Grogan crews, led by Superintendent Eddy Adkins, are excavating and replacing the pipes to facilitate proper stormwater flow in the parking areas. V&G also has crushing equipment onsite to correctly resize the stone for backfilling around the pipes and for grading the outparcel areas.
With its many decades of proven heavy/highway construction capabilities, Vecellio & Grogan is able to provide its private-sector customers with high-quality results at a good price, ensuring the best overall value.
